South-East Scotland NHS Innovation Intrapreneur Course

On 30th May 2024, the HISES team successfully hosted a one-day course at The National Robotarium to discover the world of “Innovation Intrapreneurship”. We invited participants to learn how to contribute and inspire others in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the NHS through the co-production of innovative products, services, and processes. During the day we facilitated table discussions using two key tools in interactive workshops to co-design a blueprint for a self-managed “Innovators Club of Intrapreneurs”. There was high energy throughout the day, and we would like to thank all our speakers, organisers, facilitators, and delegates who contributed their ideas through participatory team work, making the day a great success. We aim to do a formal write up of the event with key learnings and next steps which we will then publish on our website in due course.

As an integrated care pathway, the Tailored Talks system links patients to third sector support from Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, where the Advice Line team can offer patients a call-back for further guidance. The pathway is an example of how industry, NHS and third sector parties can collaborate to improve healthcare and support patient self-management
