RD&I Governance & Quality Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research, Development & Innovation Team within NHS Forth Valley.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our multidisciplinary Research, Development & Innovation Team as our Governance and Quality Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the operational management of all aspects of governance and quality for Research, Development & Innovation, across NHS Forth Valley.

Significant experience of working within RD&I governance and/or quality management is essential, as is experience of leadership and managing a team. This post requires highly developed knowledge and skills as the post holder will lead the research governance function for NHS Forth Valley and will provide specialist advice, guidance and training around all aspects of RD&I governance and quality management. Strong organisational and project management skills are essential.

The Research Governance & Quality Manager will represent NHS Forth Valley at regional and national meetings and will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of NHS Forth Valley’s RD&I portfolio.

The post holder will also support the Research, Development & Innovation Lead in the strategic planning and development of the service.

This post will be primarily based within Falkirk Community Hospital; however the postholder will be required to work flexibly across NHS Forth Valley.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.

Clinical Research Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary Research, Development & Innovation Team as Clinical Research Nurse Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the operational management of research delivery across NHS Forth Valley, including resource management to support clinical research objectives and leadership of clinical and non-clinical RD&I staff. Significant management experience, including the ability to manage, motivate and develop staff, is essential.

The post also requires highly developed clinical and technical expertise, with the ability to provide specialist advice and support to clinical staff undertaking RD&I activity, and to train, supervise and mentor research staff.

The Clinical Research Nurse Manager will provide clinical representation at regional and national meetings and will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of NHS Forth Valley’s RD&I portfolio.

The post holder will also support the Research, Development & Innovation Lead in the strategic planning and development of the service.

This post will be primarily based within Forth Valley Royal Hospital; however the postholder will be required to work flexibly across NHS Forth Valley.
